Cold Rolled Hat-Type Sections

Hat Type sheet piles are often used for project sites with relatively large forces present such as barriers, walls, and concrete waterways. The interlocks are located on the outside of the sheet pile wall and as such, no interlock shear reduction factors are to be applied during the design process.

The PSH Series is a cold rolled steel sheet pile, post formed from hot roll coil. These profiles is characterised with a male and female hook connecting clutch, driven side by side. Similar to U section sheet piles, Hat-Type sheet piles are also U-shaped. This type of sheet pile section however has a larger flange width as compared to the typical U section. This increase in flange width translates to a higher bending capacity of the sheet pile wall.
